How much is a single bus ticket Liverpool?
Changes to bus ticket prices on Arriva buses have now come into force. There has been an increase in price on day tickets, weekly and monthly passes. The maximum single for the Liverpool City Region will be unchanged and remains at £2, as well as a student single.
- A young person single will be £1.30, said Arriva.
- The changes came into force on Sunday, April 2023.
- In October last year, the start of a historic move to cap all single bus fares on any routes around the city region began.

How much is bus fare in Manchester?
Unlimited day tickets – A day of unlimited travel using any bus in Greater Manchester costs £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. You can pay for your journey using cash or card by asking the driver for a 1 day AnyBus travelcard,
Adults over 16 years of age will need to purchase a 1 day AnyBus Adult travelcard Children aged five to 16 will need to purchase a 1 day AnyBus Junior travelcard, You will need an an igo card to buy a junior travelcard. Children under five will continue to travel on buses for free.
1 day AnyBus travelcards cover unlimited bus travel within the 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester until 03.59am the following day.

Is Diamond part of nBus scheme?
In the West Midlands – nBus tickets are valid on most operators buses in the West Midlands, including all Diamond Buses within the West Midlands County. nNetwork tickets are valid on most buses, including Diamond Buses, plus all trains and trams in the West Midlands.

We also accept Swift Smart Card season tickets (where valid), Swift Pay As You Go and Swift Go fare capping on our services. *Please note: nBus QR Codes do not scan on all operators services (such as National Express), however they are accepted and should be shown to the driver to inspect visually when boarding. Please check with your driver whether your m-ticket should be shown or scanned on their services.

Buses operate up to every 10 minutes throughout Monday to Saturday daytimes. This service operates as a Quality Bus route between Liverpool and Crosby. Buses operate up to every 7/8 minutes throughout Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.
- These services operate as a Quality Bus route between Liverpool and Allerton Road, Garston or Liverpool South Parkway station.
- Route 86C is part of the Quality Bus route between Liverpool and Allerton Road only.
- Arriva services between Garston and Liverpool John Lennon Airport are not part of the Quality Bus route.
There is a bus between Liverpool and Allerton Road up to every 5 minutes throughout Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 7/8 minutes during the evenings and Sundays. The Arriva 86A between the Liverpool One Bus Station and the airport and the Stagecoach 86 from Liverpool One Bus Station to Penny Lane operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This service operates as a Quality Bus route between Liverpool and Garston / Liverpool South Parkway. There are up to 20 buses every hour between Liverpool and Garston and up to 10 buses every hour between Liverpool and either Liverpool South Parkway or Speke. These services operate as a Quality Bus route between Liverpool and Heswall or Barnston.

Do Liverpool buses take cash?
Yes you can use cash in Liverpool but most UK bus companies do offer day saver tickets. However in most big cities there may be a number of different companies operating different routes so depending on where you want to go may be important.

Can I use my diamond bus pass in London?
How to use your Diamond Travelcard – The pass is a smartcard. This means that passes can be scanned on bus card readers for travel in South Gloucestershire and most areas of England. You will not receive a paper ticket. You cannot use your Diamond Travelcard on trains or in taxis.

Travelling on other National Express services? If your travel plans also include using other National Express services, all National Express daysavers and travelcards (including smartcards & M-tickets) are valid on Diamond partnership services. Selected National Express tickets will also be available to buy on Diamond partnership buses, so now you dont have to wait for an NX bus even if you wish to buy an NX ticket! Please note National Express tickets and passes are not available or valid on any other Diamond services.
- Need a Multi-Operator ticket? nBus, nNetwork and Swift cards are accepted on all Diamond, National Express and other operators services and offer even more flexibility to travel across the public transport network.
- Contactless Payment: Contactless Payment is available on both operators along the route, however please be aware that National Express and Diamond operate different Contactless Payment policies.
On Diamond services when using Contactless to purchase day & week tickets you will be issued with a ticket that can be used across both operators partnership services (single tickets are only valid on a single journey and cannot be transferred). Diamond Tap&Go fare capping is available on all Diamond operated partnership services, however the fare capping limit will only register on further Diamond buses, you will not be issued and ticket with Tap&Go and therefore can only use Diamond Services for the remainder of your travel.
- If you Tap&Go on both operators you will be charged twice.
- If you use Contactless Payment on National Express you will not be issued a bus ticket and therefore can only use National Express services for the remainder of your travel.
- If you tap Contactless on both operators you will be charged twice.
- M-Tickets: Diamond Value Day & Week M-tickets are accepted on all partnership services, but do not scan on NX buses, therefore your M-ticket will have to be shown to the driver when boarding a National Express bus.

Smart Cards: NX smart cards and Swift Cards will scan on Diamond partnership buses, providing they are loaded with a product which is valid on any partnership service.
